| nom. sg. | qašaas | LW 10.13 (Sardis) |
An accusative plural would be formally possible, but not supported by the context, because qašaas is modified by edš wastνunliš (nom. sg. c.).

1.1.3Meaning
Gusmani 1961a:190 compares the use of qaša- with the one of qira- ‘property’ and concludes that the two must refer to something similar. Therefore, he translates qaša- as ‘possession (?)’ (followed by Gérard 2005a:129, Yakubovich 2017b:277, outdated Haas 1962a:188-190). Taking into account the new interpretation of the derivative qašãni-(t) as ‘to rent’, the root qaš- should have the meaning ‘loan, wage’, which also fits the semantic field of qira- ‘property’ adduced by Gusmani. The related n-stems in Hittite kuššan- n. ‘wage, fee, rent(al) price’ and Lyc. A qehñ(n)- can also serve as comparative evidence for the semantic range of the root. The meaning ‘fee, rental price’ is appropriate for the noun qaša- and its derivatives qašl(i)- and niqašl(i)-, which occur in contexts concerning the property rights of the rock-carved graves in the necropolis. Therefore, the following sentence could be translated as follows:
ciwν fadofidν tawsẽν ak=um nãqid kol fak=m=it el edš wastνunliš qašaas (LW 10.11-13)
‘I asked the great god. Whatever he told me, this is for me the rental price of the wastνun.’
