1.1.3.1Phonological Interpretation
Attested in fully syllabic writing, the phonological interpretation of this word leaves little room for doubt. It is further supported by its connection with the word family around the adjective /su-/ ‘full, complete’.
[AH.B.]
1.1.4Meaning
The meaning of this word was first suggested by Hawkins 1975a:130, who also points out its word family, and it has since received further support, see Hawkins 1995a:34 with additional literature. In all its attestations, /sun(n)as(sa)-/ denotes an attribute possessed or granted by the gods.
[AH.B.]
1.1.5Stem
Clearly related to the unattested Luw. verb */sun(na)-/ ‘to fill’, the lexeme is an abstract noun built with the suffix /-assa-/. It may perhaps be a plurale tantum (Sasseville 2018a:303f.), although a neuter s-stem in /-as-/ remains a possibility.

†sus(o)
‘(ghost-word)’1.2.1Transmission
Schürr 2010c:192 suggested segmenting pususoτ in C.Hy 1, 1 and treating it as compound of pun- ‘all’ (see s.v.) and -susoτ, which he compared with Hieroglyphic Luwian sunasa- ‘plenty, fullness’ (see s.v.), via the ad hoc changes *puna-súnasso- > *pun-suns- > pusus-. However, Adiego 2019b:18‒21, 24‒26 demonstrated that the correct segmentation is piĺipus usoτ consisting of the Carian form of the personal name Philippos and uso(τ), the word for ‘year’, see s.v.
