For the analysis of ehbijẽ as nom./acc. sg. n., see Laroche 1979c:87 (followed by Melchert in DLL:12; contra Gusmani 1975e:65 “ehbi=j=ẽ”, Carruba 1977a:296 “gen. pl.”).
Contra Laroche 1979c:87, Melchert 2002c:251 (DLL:13) and Neumann 2007a:52, the sequence seijehrijaitẽ : tasa (previously read as seijehbijaitẽ : tasa; see now Adiego 2012a:96) does not contain the possessive pronoun in the nom./acc. pl. n.

1.1.3Meaning
The recognition of the Lycian possessive pronoun of the 3rd person singular ehbi was facilitated mainly by the contexts of attestation (further supported by the Greek-Lycian bilingual inscriptions; e.g. TL 23, TL 25, TL 56) and the now outdated comparison with Iranian; see among the scholars of the 19th century Savelsberg 1874a:27, Deecke 1887a:141f., Torp 1898b:44, Thomsen 1899a:45f. n. 1. Nowadays, the analysis of Lyc. ehbi(je)- as a possessive pronoun of the 3rd person singular is consensus; see Pedersen 1945a:36, Laroche 1960a:180, Houwink ten Cate 1961a:68, Melchert (DLL:13), Neumann 2007a:52.

1.1.4Stem
The possessive pronoun inflects like an adjective in -i(je)- (aside from the “mistake” ehbe for ehbije) and goes back to the genitival adjective of the demonstrative pronoun ebe(ñne)-, i.e. ebehe/i- + -i(je)- with syncope and metathesis of *-bh- to -hb- (cf. Laroche 1960a:180, Neumann 1961a:51).
