The aberrant vocalism in the nom. sg. form tuhas on TL 136 may most likely to be attributed to a spelling error, and the form has thus been given as tuhe!s in the table above.

The dat./loc. sg. form tuhesi on TL 29 may be a PN, referring to the name of the wife in the sequence ladi : ehbi : tuhesi (thus Neumann 2007a:387), cf. the PN in the phrase hrppi : ladi : ehbi : tuhese ’for his wife Tuhese’ on TL 113 (see Zehnder 2010a:55).

1.1.3Meaning

The meaning of Lyc. A tuhes- is confirmed by the bilingual inscription TL 25, where nom. sg. tuhes (line 4) corresponds to Gk. ἀδελφιδοῦς ‘nephew’ (line 9) and acc. sg. tuhesñ (line 7) to Gk. ἀδελφιδῆν ‘niece’ (line 14), cf. Neumann 2007a:385f. Note that this means that Lyc. A tuhes- is unspecified for gender. For further translations of tuhes- as ‘nephew, niece’, see already Imbert 1916a:328f. and more recently Eichner 1993b:242, Melchert (DLL:72).

1.1.4Stem

Synchronically, Lyc. A tuhes- displays s-stem inflection, where the suffixal -s- only surfaces in the singular forms (see Schürr 2017-2018a, per DLL:72 “mixed inflection”).
