erublije-
‘monument (vel sim.)’1.1.1Transmission
This lexeme occurs in a non-sepulchral inscription concerning religious matters (Bryce 1986a:89) and in TL 44, the pillar of Xanthos, dated stylistically to around 400 BCE and contextually to shortly after the ascension of the Persian emperor Artaxerxes II in 405-404 BCE (Borchhardt & Eichner 1997-1999a:19f.).

1.1.3Meaning
Lyc. A erublije- occurs in the first line of TL 26 as ebeija : erublija : meñt[. According to established knowledge of Lycian inscription formulae, we would expect erublija in this position to refer to the work carrying the inscription. Thus, a meaning ‘monument’ or similar is probable (thus also in Meriggi 1936b:261, Pedersen 1945a:43, DLL:17, Neumann 2007a:72). This analysis is not contradicted by any of the attestations in TL 44 (cf. e.g. lines 41-43, where urublijẽ occurs along with other monumental objects, e.g. tukedre/i- ‘statue’).

1.1.4Stem
Lyc. A erublije- is indubitably a neuter gender e-stem.
According to Martínez Rodríguez 2019a:221, Lyc. A erublije- is derived from eruwe-(ti) ‘to raise’ with addition of the suffixes -le/i- and -i(je)-. Under this analysis, the -w- in the resulting sequence *-wlV- undergoes spirantization, yielding the attested -b-.
