1.1.2Forms

acc. sg. c. qliju TL 44d.59 (Xanthos)

1.1.3Meaning

The word qliju is a derivative of qla- (or qala-) ‘precinct’ (Schürr 1997c:135). In TL 44d.59, it modifies xupeliju ‘sepulchral complex (vel sim.)’ and is surely an adjective in -i(je)- with a case of secondary agreement with stems in -a- c. for expected *qli (< *qliji) → qliju (cf. Hajnal 1994a:164f., DLL:127, contra Shevoroshkin 2002a:230). For the context see under xupelija-.

[D.S.]

For the derivational base see Lyc. qla-.
