This lexeme is attested in the inscription of the inscribed pillar of Xanthos, dated contextually to shortly after the ascension of Artaxerxes II in 405-404 BCE and stylistically to around 400 BCE (Borchhardt & Eichner 1997-1999a:19f.).

As correctly pointed out by Schürr 2008a:178 (following DLL:57), (se)ñnahijẽ (nom./acc. sg. n.) cannot agree with θurttã, since the latter is acc. sg. c. A gen. pl. would be possible but is not supported by the second attestation, which shows the same case as [θurtt]adi.

1.1.4Meaning
For the outdated attempts to uncover the meaning of the word, see under the derivational base. Also outdated is the translation by Gehrisch 2018a:69 as ‘aged’.

1.1.5Stem
Formally, ñnahi(je)- is an adjective in -i(je)- derived from the substantive ñnaha- c., although it seems to have been substantivized in the context.
