1.1.3Meaning

The meaning of the reduplicated tta-(di) is the same as that of the non-reduplicated base ta-(di) ‘to place’ (Heubeck 1985a:41f. with further literature, DLL:59f., Eichner 2017a:290f., Serangeli 2019a:232f., hesitant Neumann 2007a:336). However, the effects of the reduplication vis-à-vis imperfectivity are still unclear (Sasseville 2021a:310 with further literature).
