1.1.3Meaning
Gusmani 1964a:152 (following Meriggi 1935a:105 n. 81) sees it as an adverb meaning ‘however’ by analyzing the first part of the word, i.e. koc-, as belong to the conjunction kot. This is morphologically unconvincing. Moreover, the reduplicated verb tatrot (← tro-(d) ‘to hand over’) in LW 12.9 is transitive and requires a priori that kocwid be taken as a direct object.

1.1.4Stem
The word is probably built with the adjectival suffix -w(i)- (equating to Lyc. -we/i-), though in each context it appears to have been substantivized.
