1.1.3Meaning
As pointed out by Schürr 2005a:149, the verb qla- is an obvious derivative of the noun qla- (or qala-) c. ‘precinct’. In comparison to the derivation prñnawa- c. ‘grave-house’ → prñnawa-(ti) ‘to build a grave-house’, the denominative qla-(ti) would mean ‘to build a precinct’. For an overview of outdated hypotheses see Neumann 2007a:304.

1.1.4Stem
The denominative verb qla-(ti) is interpreted here as a factitive in -a-(ti) based on the parallel formation prñnawa-(ti).
