1.1.3Meaning
Vetter 1959a:14 suggests that adẽn(i)- should have the same meaning as laqriša- ‘woodwork’, because both of them appear as direct objects of the verb ẽtol- ‘?’. This is entirely possible but does not help determine the exact meaning of adẽn(i)-; cf. Gusmani 1964a:52. Sasseville 2017a:136 points out that the Lydian suffix -ẽn(i)- should correspond to CLuw. -ann(i)- and that both are used to build nouns that designate people. Building on this observation, one could posit that adẽn(i)- refers to a person or title. This hypothesis obtained from a morphological perspective must await further evidence.
