1.1.3Meaning

The word kim occurs in a passage, where several words are abbreviated. This leads to the hypothesis that kim is also abbreviated. An etymological connection with Lyd. kimλad is suggested by Gusmani 1980a:66 and indeed the word kim could be an abbreviated form of kimλad, i.e. kim(λad). However, since the meaning of the denominative is unknown, this hypothesis cannot be contextually verified. Thus, no semantic assignment can be provided.
