1.1.3.1Phonological Interpretation
The spelling of the present lexeme is quite clear, and the interpretation receives further support from the fact that the word represents a compound of two free lexemes attested in other contexts, see the discussion of the stem below.
[AH.B.]
1.1.4Meaning
The relevant text passage received a new interpretation by Rieken 2003a:41, 44f. Together with another adjective, /zirlami/ ‘fruitful’, the present lexeme modifies the noun /wattani/ ‘country, area’, strongly suggesting that its meaning denotes a similarly positive attribute.
[AH.B.]
1.1.5Stem
The lexeme is a compound of the adjective /su-/ ‘complete, full’ and a form related to the CLuw. noun /happinatta-/ ‘wealth, riches’, cf.Rieken 2003a:39f. who connects the first member of the compound to a different root, however.
[AH.B.]
For the first member of this compound see HLuw. /su-/.
