1.1.3Meaning
Eichner 1993b:239 provides a contextual analysis of TL 58 and suggests the meaning ‘third’ for terihe. Contextually, it is specified in TL 58 that the chamber is reserved for Sbelimi and his wife and then is warns the potential offender that if he places any third person (tike terihe), there will be severe consequences. Morphologically speaking, Eichner interprets the form terihe as an adverbial genitive in -he, i.e. ‘of three’ = ‘third’ (DLL:63 assumes a free-standing genitive). Thus, terihe is the ordinal number of trija/tri-.
