1.1.3Meaning
The context, in which the word trfnod occurs, is obscure, although the direct object ca- ‘share, allotment (?)’ implies that the action might be performed on a plot or a land parcel (cf. Lyc. A za-). Pending further evidence, no meaning can be offered; cf. Gusmani 1964a:214 and Sasseville 2021a:480.

1.1.4Stem
The verb trfno- is interpreted as a causative verb in -no-(d) (Gérard 2005a:110 with further literature, Sasseville 2021a:480). For a possible inner-Lydian cognate, see trfãν.
