1.1.2Forms

2sg. impv. act. a-pár KUB 48.53, 6’ (CTH 753, NS)

The short word a-pár is found at the end of a clause, which is assured by the following akina=ma, in which the particle =ma marks the beginning of a new clause.

[D.S.]

1.1.3Meaning

The context is too fragmentary to be of any help. It is tempting to analyze apar- as a univerbation between a preverb a- and the root verb par- (< *bher- ‘to carry’). Awaiting further evidence, no semantics can be given here, but cf. CLuw. apār-(ti).

[D.S.]

For the lemma head see Pal. *par-(ti).
