1.1.2Forms
| nom. pl. c. | [a/za-ra]-⸢na-aš⸣-š[i?-in-zi] | KUB 35.14 iv 12’ | (CTH 760, NS) |
| a?/za?-⸢ra-a-na⸣-[aš]-si?-⸢in-zi⸣ | KUB 35.15 iii! 11 | (CTH 761, MS) |
The restoration as nom. pl. c. is likely, since the word precedes another common gender nom. pl., viz. [e-er-ḫ]u-u-wa-li-ia-an-zi (see under the lemma of erḫuwalliya- c.).

1.1.3Graphic Features
Checked against the photographs in the Mainzer Fotoarchiv. – As indicated in the transliteration, the reading a-ra-na-aš-ši-in-zi (idealized) presented by Starke 1985b:124, 128 is far from assured, but except for the missing -a- plene spelling, it is possible.
[E.R.]
1.1.4Meaning
The lexeme is followed by erḫuwalliyanzi ‘internalities’, whose referent is unknown. If the reading arānašša/i- were correct, one could posit a derivational chain *ara- ‘ownership (?)’ (cf. CLuw. aranuwa-(i)) → *arāna/i- ‘own’ → substantivized *arāna- ‘own items’ → genitival adjective arānašša/i- ‘related to own items, owned’. In view of the unassured reading and the fragmentary context, it is needless to say that the proposed chain belongs to realm of speculation. Accordingly, no translation is offered in CLL:25 and HHw:20.Very unlikely is the tentative analysis by Yakubovich 2017d ‘of male (?)’, because a cognate of ārrazza- would require a geminate -rr-.
