1.1.4Meaning

The word rm͂mazata modifies the payment of 5 ada(money) that the potential offender will have to make. The meaning ‘monthly delivery/interval’ has been deduced based on the meaning of each member of the compound, i.e. arm̃ma- and zata- (see Neumann 1974a:113 “monthly delivery”, Laroche 1979c:69 with further literature “monthly”, Neumann 2007a:70 “monthly payment”, Starke 1990a:541 and DLL:5 “monthly offering”).
