1.1.2Forms
| nom. pl. | /…/ | BONUS2.VITIS-mi-zi | ARSUZ 1, §5 (Amuq) |
| BONUS2.VITIS-mi-zi | ARSUZ 2, §5 (Amuq) |
At ARSUZ 2, §5, the word is followed by the particle 〈-ha〉, i.e. /=ha/ ‘and’.
Weeden 2018a:348 suggests a different transliteration as 〈BONUS2.VITIS.MI-zi〉 for both attestations at ARSUZ 1 and 2.

1.1.3.1Phonological Interpretation
Unclear. Rendered in mainly logographic spelling, the word has so far gone without being linked to other known words from the domain of wine, cf. Dinçol, Dinçol, Hawkins, Peker & Öztan 2015a:66f. Interpreting the spelling slightly differently, Weeden 2018a:348 hypothesises that the word could contain the known noun HLuw. /mattu-/ ‘wine’, which is another locus for the logogram VITIS (sign *160).

1.1.4Meaning
Even though the phonological form of this word remains to be elucidated, its meaning is reasonably clear as denoting a type of wine. Dinçol, Dinçol, Hawkins, Peker & Öztan 2015a:65-67 opt for “good wine”, which is a literal interpretation of the logograms used, but it may well denote a particular type of wine rather than the general quality, cf. also Weeden 2018a:348. The clause at ARSUZ 1, §5 reads: a-wa/i OVIS(ANIMA) 20 PANIS-li-sa CRUS OVIS(ANIMA) 100 (URCEUS)mu-ka BONUS2.VITIS-mi-zi CRUS+RA/I, translating as ‘20 PANIS-li- breads stand for one sheep, 100 jugs of BONUS2.VITIS-mi- wine stand for one sheep’ (cf. Dinçol, Dinçol, Hawkins, Peker & Öztan 2015a:64f.).

1.1.5Stem
The word is evidently a common gender noun and apparently subject to i-mutation. Beyond that, its morphological structure remains in the dark. Following Weeden 2018a:348, the word may contain the noun /mattu-/ ‘wine’, but it is not clear in what form.
