1.1.3Meaning
The context, in which the word ankãν is found, is obscure and fragmentary. No meaning can be offered; cf. Gusmani 1964a:58. It is worth pondering whether it is etymologically related to Lyd. =ãk and Lyc. ẽke.
[D.S.]
1.1.4Stem
The ending -ãν shows that the noun is oxytone and it historically goes back to a long ā-stem (*-eh2-).
