1.1.2Forms
| indecl. (?) | qardoλcν | LW 10.15 (Sardis) |
Gusmani 1961a:192 treats qardoλcν as the direct object of the verb facašidν, which is derived from the verb ca-(t) ‘to make a dedication’ with the suffix -ši-, for which see Sasseville 2021a:505-508. Since the first word of the clause is isq(ν) and most likely represents the direct object, it is more tempting to take qardoλcν as an adverb in -cν, thus modifying the verb.

1.1.3Meaning
The root of qardoλcν is surely qar-, which may be connected to that of Lyd. qrata-(d)(likely going back to *ku̯er- ‘to cut’). Nonetheless, this does not help to elucidate the meaning of qardoλcν.
[D.S.]
1.1.4Stem
The sequence -oλcν may come from *-olicν, thus reflecting the suffix chain -ol(i)-, just like kastaλcν would reflect *kastal(i)-.
