1.1.4Meaning
Since ūppanna-(i) is obviously an imperfective derivative of ūppa-(i) ‘to carry, move’, the same meaning can be expected. As Melchert 2004a:370f. points out, the contexts confirm this assumption: a=tta ādduwanza pariyan adduwaliyan wattaniyan uppannandu “Let them carry the evil over to the country of evil!” (KBo 13.260 iii 13’-15’, see Yakubovich 2010a:236-238) and zila=pa=tta zatti dumu.lú.u19.lu-ni ... ḫuidumarša ūppann[a]ndu wayaḫiša ḫaddulaḫiša annarumaḫiša “Let them carry to this child ... life, vitality(?), health (and) strength!” (ibid. iii 16’-20’, see Sasseville 2021a:516f. and under Lemma wayaḫi(t)-). Therefore, like ūppa-(i), the translation of which has been changed from ‘to bring (here)’ to ‘to carry, move’ after Melchert 2019a:570f., ūppanna-(i) is rendered here also as ‘to carry, move’.

1.1.5Stem
The deverbal suffix -anna- classifies ūppanna- as a ḫi-conjugated stem (Sasseville 2021a:516f., see also Oettinger 1992a:236).
[E.R.]
For the lemma head see CLuw. ūppa-(i).
