‘(unknown)’1.1.1Transmission
This lexeme is attested in the inscription of the inscribed pillar of Xanthos, dated contextually to shortly after the ascension of Artaxerxes II in 405-404 BCE and stylistically to around 400 BCE (Borchhardt & Eichner 1997-1999a:19f.).

| TL 44d.68 (Xanthos) |
Sasseville 2021a:455 analyzes tm͂qrisn͂te as a participial form to a verb tm͂qris-(ti), a formation in -s-(ti) derived from the verb m͂qri-(ti) (cf. DLL:131). Contra Schürr 2018b:84, who sees a finite verb in the 3pl. pret., which is not supported by the syntax. The analysis as dative plural is also preferred by Melchert (DLL:131).

1.1.3Graphic Features
Schürr 2018b:84 assumes an elision, i.e. (u)tm͂qrisn͂te, based on the attestation utm͂qrimi (see m͂qri-(ti)). This is a priori possible, but hardly provable based on the current data.

1.1.4Meaning
The word tm͂qrisn͂te modifies the noun mire ‘?’ in both contexts. No proper meaning has been assigned; cf. Shevoroshkin 1971a:221, DLL:131, Neumann 2007a:369.
