The attestation follows Laroche 1966b:73 (No. 411-1) and Yakubovich 2010d:214 checked against the hand copy of the publication (a photo was not available).
Some scholars (Landsberger 1954a:127; Laroche 1966b:73; Hecker 1968a:19; Otten 1975b:524; Starke 1990a:360) added Ḫuturla (for the attestations see Kloekhorst 2019b:62 n. 181), which was, however, not included in Yakubovich 2010d:214 (but added in Yakubovich 2020b:282). However, as Simon 2019h:360f. pointed out, this form cannot be explained regularly from Ḫutarla in any of the local languages (Hittite, Luwian, and Old Assyrian) and thus, we are probably dealing with a different name (see also Kloekhorst 2019b:62 with n. 182, who points out that both the father and son of Ḫuturla of BIN 4, 197 have Assyrian names; Yakubovich 2020b:282 overlooked both Simon’s and Kloekhorst’s criticism; Starke 1990a:360 explained both spellings as reflections of a syllabic consonant as “[ḫū̆dr̥li-]” [see already Landsberger 1954a: 125 n. 290], but evidence is missing for the existence of syllabic consonants in Luwian).

1.1.4Origin
The name has long been identified with the Luwian word ḫutarlā- ‘servant’ (Otten 1975b:525; Matouš 1983a:144; Starke 1990a:360; Carruba 1992:251; Tischler 1995a:363; Melchert 2003e:23; Yakubovich 2010d:216, Yakubovich 2020b:282; Kloekhorst 2019b:62 [but with reservations due to Ḫuturla]; Giusfredi 2020c:247, 250 [but in the category of “incerti”]; the identification as a Luwian word by Landsberger 1954a:127 was based on a false identification of its meaning). Although, contra the earlier assumption, this word is probably not attested yet (see the discussion s.v. ḫūtarlānn(i)-), its existence is clear from its diminutive ḫūtarlānn(i)-.
