1.1.4Meaning
Luw. malwara- always occurs in conjunction with tuḫḫara- ‘incense (?)’. Like tuḫḫara-, malwara- is something that may be either burned or extinguished (KI.MIN on KUB 35.145 ii 15’ certainly refers back to Hitt. kištanunun ‘I extinguished’, see Yakubovich 2010d:31). However, it is not clear whether the sense of malwara- is concrete, abstract and/or metaphorical.
