| dat./gen. pl. | taạcdaν | LW 27.4 (Sardis) |
Gusmani 1964a:207 suggests tentatively an accusative singular. However, Melchert 1994b:185 has shown that the Lydian suffix -d- goes back to the adjectival PAnat *-i̯o- suffix. This indicates that the suffix has a mutated paradigm, i.e. tacd(i)-, and therefore, -daν can only be dative/genitive plural, since an accusative singular would be expected to end in *-dν. For the paradigm of Lydian mutated stems, see Sasseville 2017a. Not phonologically attractive is the suggestion by Yakubovich (pers. comm.) that the postposition dãν is to be seen in taac=daν, which otherwise always retains the nasalized vowel ã despite its enclitic status; cf. the similar situation with the preverbs.

1.1.3Meaning
The meaning of taacdaν is dependent on the meaning of the base tac(i)-, translated here as ‘offering, dedication’. Therefore, the relational adjective in -d(i)- leads to the translation ‘pertaining to an offering’.
