1.1.2Forms
| 3pl. pret. act. | ẽtosrs | LW 2.3 (Sardis) |
In the older literature, forms in -rs were analyzed as participles (Meriggi 1935a:88, Gusmani 1964a:109f.), which is now outdated, see Gusmani 2010b, Sasseville 2021a:162f., 284f. See also the discussion in Gérard 2005a:103f.

1.1.3Meaning
Since the verb is a 3pl. pret. act., the noun laqriša is expected to be the direct object of ẽtosrs. Since laqriša is here translated as ‘woodwork (?)’, it would refer to an action in relation to the installation of the woodwork belonging to the grave. Dusinberre 2003a:229 translates the verb with ‘to establish’. Differently, Melchert (apud Sasseville 2021a:285) suggests an etymological connection with Hitt. wāš-(ḫi) ‘to buy’, translating Lyd. ẽt-os- likewise as ‘to buy’. This is possible, but unprovable, until further evidence emerges. For a summary of the outdated literature, see Gusmani 1964a:109f.

1.1.4Stem
The verbal form ẽtosrs consists of a root verb os- with the preverb ẽt-, as already suggested by Carruba 1959a:32 (followed by Yakubovich 2005b:78 and Sasseville 2021a:284).
