This lexeme is found in the inscription of the inscribed pillar of Xanthos, dated contextually to shortly after the ascension of Artaxerxes II in 405-404 BCE and stylistically to around 400 BCE (Borchhardt & Eichner 1997-1999a:19f.).

1.1.3Meaning
Melchert (DLL:119) suggests analyzing lbijẽi as a derivative of alba- ‘?’ with the suffix -i(je)- and -ẽi-, which is frequently used for personal names; cf. pigrẽi-, pttlezẽi-, tewinezẽi-, uhetẽi-, xerẽi- and so on (see DLL:xi). If lbijẽi is indeed the subject of the sentence, it could be interpreted as a personal name, although this cannot be proven based on the current state of research on this poem. Shevoroshkin 2014a:257 likewise assumes a derivation based on the noun alba- and takes lbijẽi as an agent noun meaning ‘cup-bearer’, which is speculative. No suggestions are made by Neumann 2007a:185 or Schürr 2018b:71.
