†meniyalla/i-
‘(ghost word)’1.1.1Transmission
The word is attested exclusively in a single NS copy of the OH Ištanuwa festival.

1.1.2Forms
| dat./loc. sg. | x-x-ni-ia-al-li | KUB 25.39 iv 2 | (CTH 773, NS) |
Following CLL:148, x-x-niyalli is regarded as a nominal form in the dat./loc. sg. It is probably an attribute of either the preceding or the following dat./loc. sg. form.
[E.R.]
1.1.3Graphic Features
Checked against the photographs in the Konkordanz. Contra Starke 1985b:329 and CLL:148, the reading of the initial part of the line as ˹me˺- is highly doubtful. Rather than a single me- with a stretched horizontal, the remains suggest there to be two signs (1 LÚ, GIŠni or something entirely different). Therefore, the previously suggested meniyalli is now considered a ghost word.
[E.R.]
1.1.4Meaning
The context is ill-understood and does not permit any conclusions regarding the meaning of the word.
[E.R.]
1.1.5Stem
The word is obviously a stem in -alla/i-.
[E.R.]
1.1.6Origin
No reconstruction possible.
