1.1.3Meaning
The context in which plqqa is found is badly preserved.Schürr 1991-1993a:170 compares Lyc. plqqa to the Carian personal name plqo and Πελεκως found in Greek transmission. Although the comparison is very convincing, it does not guarantee that Lyc. plqqa is a personal name (contra Neumann 2007a:277, Schürr 2012b:21). It could simply represent the appellative upon which the personal names are built. No semantic assignment possible.

1.1.4Origin
The suggestion of connecting Lyc. plqqa with Hitt. palḫi- (HEG P:394 and Neumann 2007a:277) is not phonologically supported, because q- is labialized. Outdated Shevoroshkin 1969a:264. No reconstruction possible.
