1.1.3.1Phonological Interpretation
The phonological interpretation of this lexeme is tentative, because it is attested only once and so far no links could be established to potential cognates in the other Anatolian languages.Any relation to the Hittite postposition pariyan is highly unlikely, as its HLuw. cognate is usually spelt PRAE-ia, cf. HEG P:459f. The only part of the attested form that seems clear is its suffix /-assa/i-/, which is widely attested.
[AH.B.]
1.1.4Stem
The attested form appears to be a possessive adjective in /-assa/i-/ and is as such subject to i-mutation. The stem of the derivational base, however, remains unclear, as does its grammatical gender.
