1.1.3Graphic Features
The recovery of this word is due to the join discovered by O. Soysal. The reading of the last letter as -t[a] is suggested here by S. Görke and D. Sasseville based on the photo in the Konkordanz. This would imply render a verbal form parallel to the one found in the following line, i.e. i-en-[t]a ‘they went’.

1.1.4Meaning
If the root weḫ- of the Palaic verb is cognate with Hitt. weḫ-/waḫ-(mi) ‘to turn’, then weḫenta could be translated as ‘they turned’. Because of the fragmentary state of the context, this semantic assignment cannot be verified. For a possible cognate within Palaic see waḫariya-.

1.1.5Origin
Since the semantic assignment and the putative etymological link is far from assured, we will refrain from providing a reconstruction; cf. under Meaning.
