1.1.4Meaning ‘related to vital force, feistiness, bellicosity’
The semantic interpretation rests on the transparent stem formation, i.e. tarp(i)- ‘force, feistiness, bellicosity’ plus -i(ya)- suffix for relational adjectives. The context confirms the result of the derivational analysis: ana kur.kur LÚkúr=ma idalawaš ... tarpīn ḫuipin piški “Give ... cruelty related to bellicosity to the evil enemy lands!” (HW 2nd ed. Ḫ:654).
