There is an incomplete attestation of a lexeme beginning with ḫuwammitiya[ found in a ritual fragment from the Tauriša tradition.

1.1.4Meaning

The fragmentary context does not permit a concrete translation of the lexeme. However, the Luwian base /humid-/, suits the mention of šuMEŠ ‘hands’ in the same line (see Oreshko 2020b:348; still without semantic interpretation DLL:50, Starke 1990a:222, CLL:80, HHw:58, Yakubovich 2017d).

1.1.5Stem

The straightforward analysis of ḫuwammitiya[ by Starke 1990a:222 derives a root ḫuwamm- with the suffixes -i(t)- for neuter nouns and the relational suffix -i(ya)-. Unfortunately, the form is incomplete and the entire context fragmentary, which leaves the proposal without the confirmation needed.
