The meaning of this word is entirely opaque. Neither the shape of the logogram nor the context aid in narrowing down the options, except that it likely represents something positive. The clause at KARAHÖYÜK (ELBİSTAN), §5 reads: a-wa/i *512-i(a) *484 SUPER sa-SUPER, approx. /a=wa …-i(a) … sarra sarlatta/, perhaps meaning ‘He (scil. the aforementioned great-king Ini-Tešub) offered up *484 to *512’ vel sim. (cf. Hawkins 2000a:289).
