1.1.2Forms
| unclear | /…/ | *463.*398 | YALBURT frag. 1, §3b (Konya) |
| EMİRGAZİ 3, §1b (Emirgazi) |
Both attestations of this word include *463, but it differs in shape from its other occurrences at Emirgazi. Usually, the shape of *463 seems to contain the sign DEUS at the top, yet in the present cases the DEUS part is missing, which begs the question if it constitutes an inherent part of the shape in the first place. If not, those occurrences of *463 that contain DEUS may need to be re-transliterated as 〈(DEUS)*463〉 vel sim.; they all occurs with deity names.

1.1.3.1Phonological Interpretation
Unclear. The word consists of two signs that have so far gone without syllabic interpretations, and their logographic interpretations are, if anything, recent. Regarding *463, Schürr 2017b:34 proposes a transliteration as CAMPUS, following Hawkins 2006b:59; no interpretation has been put forward for *398 so far.

1.1.4Meaning
The meaning of this word is not entirely clear, but it is likely a title or constitutes part of a title; if the latter, it would most likely modify CANIS.ZU(WA) ‘hunter’.The latter option is the one advanced by Yakubovich 2017e:s.v., who tentatively proposes a meaning ‘of game’ for the word. Hawkins 2006b:59 suggests a tentative ‘field master (?)’ vel sim., based on the combined meaning of the two signs; *398 is found on seals and represents a title in those cases. The context at YALBURT frag. 1, §3b reads: a-wa/i-mi HEROS *463.*398 CANIS.ZU(WA) MAGNUS.REX, approx. /a=wa=mi hastalis … zunawalis hantawatturas/, translating as ‘ I (am) the hero, field master (?), the hunter, the great-king’ (cf. Hawkins 1995a:68f., 79 and Poetto 1993a:53f.).

1.1.5Stem
Unknown. If the word should indeed be a title, it is likely a common gender noun.
