1.1.3Meaning
The word has yet to receive a semantic interpretation, not least because the shape of the logogram *516 has yet to be identified. The presently available data with a single attestation does not suffice as a basis for fixing it with a meaning, as it occurs in an ill-understood context and in a very short clause at KARAHÖYÜK (ELBİSTAN), §14: *516 PONERE, translating as ‘I established *516’ (cf. Hawkins 2000a:290). It likely represents the object of the verb, but may also stand for something else (cf. Hawkins 2000a:294).
