1.1.3Meaning
Thomsen 1899a:34 recognizes Lyc. A tisn͂ke as a pronominal form agreeing with xttbã, i.e. ‘Fr. un dommage quelconque’ = ‘any kind of dammage’ (followed by Laroche 1960a:178, Houwink ten Cate 1961a:71, Melchert in DLL:67However, it should not be attributed to the same paradigm as tisn͂ and tise, because it contains an additional univerbated particle.; a summary of the literature can be found in Neumann 2007a:365; cf. also Sideltsev & Yakubovich 2016a:101f., 106f., who suggest the meaning ‘whatever’ for tisn͂ke, i.e. a free choice expression based on the iterated tise tise).
[D.S.]
1.1.4Stem
The pronoun is taken as a form of the acc. sg. tisn͂ followed by the particle =ke, which would have been extracted from the indefinite pronoun tike (Melchert in DLL:67, Sideltsev & Yakubovich 2016a:106f. contra Torp 1898a:37 and Carruba 1978b:178 “gen. pl.”).
