nãš(i)-
‘each (?)’1.1.1Transmission
This lexeme is attested in a metrical inscription. It is noteworthy that the inscription uses the sign <y>, which may point towards a dating in the Archaic period (see Euler & Sasseville 2019a:129).

1.1.3Meaning
The word nãši=k agrees with ištaminliš ‘family (member)’, coordinated with amu ‘I’. Therefore, it is possible that nãš(i)- means something like ‘each (?)’ (Gusmani 1960a:289 “who(ever)”). Meriggi 1935a:103 and Gusmani 1964a:172 instead see a coordinating conjunction such as Germ. ‘sowie’, which is not persuasive, since we already have =k… =k… ‘both… and…’. Nonetheless, more evidence is needed to confirm the hypothesis advocated here.

1.1.4Stem
Meriggi 1935a:103 recognizes a link to the word nãν and we may add here that it is probably extended with the genitival adjective suffix -š(i)-.
