1.1.3Graphic Features
The attestation in N 318.6 is here emended after the first attestation in N 327.1. The choice of the emendation is based on the recognition of a Lycian verbal stem class in -ije-(ti) and on the absence of one in **-eije-(ti).

1.1.4Meaning
Laroche 1979c:64 suggests ‘to found (vel sim.)’ based on the etymological connection with Lyc. A m̃ma(i)-(di) ‘to build, install’ (followed by Hajnal 1995a:161 n. 177, DLL:42, Neumann 2007a:231). The direct object of the verb m̃mije-(ti) in both attestations is xθθanahi of unknown meaning, which is a substantivized genitivale adjective of the word xθθan- n. referring to a kind of building. Therefore, a verb of building for m̃mije-(ti) is very probable.
