1.1.3.1Phonological Interpretation
With only one attestation, the phonological interpretation of this lexeme remains tentative. It appears likely that the word is etymologically linked to CLuw. ānnar(i)- ‘forcefulness, virility’, which would help to ascertain at least the beginning of the word.
[AH.B.]
1.1.4Meaning
The meaning suggested for this word rests wholly on the assumed cognate link with CLuw. ānnari- ‘forcefulness, virility’ and words belonging to the same family. Its meaning is certainly positive, because the noun is paired asyndetically with another positively connotated noun, /sun(n)as(s)adi/ ‘with fullness’ vel sim., in the final clause of stone B of the inscription. Expressing the wish that several gods may run before (i.e. be helpful to) any person that performs a ritual, the clause makes use of /sun(n)as(s)adi/ and /annarzuhadi/ as attributes to the gods.

1.1.5Stem
The stem formation of the present lexeme is unclear, and the available evidence does not permit a conclusion on whether or not the word undergoes i-mutation. If the connection with the CLuw. noun ānnar(i)- and adjective ānnara/i- is accepted, then a word of this shape can be assumed to have been present also in HLuw., providing the derivational basis for /annarzuha(/i)-/. However, it is not clear what was suffixed to it, as the word family in CLuw. does not feature a comparable formation, nor do there seem to be other nouns like it in HLuw.
Alternatively, the word may represent a compound of /annar-/+/zuha-/, the latter of which may be related to the PN /Suhi-/, possibly with a meaning such as ‘fullness of strength’; a similar compound may be present in the HLuw. personal name /Atrisuhha-/.
