1.1.3.1Phonological Interpretation

Unclear beyond the observation that the word appears to end in /-T(i)-/. It remains likewise unknown whether or not the logogram should be understood as a determinative or as representing part of the phonological shape of the word.

The meaning of this word is not known, but it appears to denote something that can be used for sacrificial purposes, possibly a libation (cf. Hawkins 2000a:267). It appears in a passage detailing regular sacrifices to the statue bearing the inscription MARAŞ 14, where §9 reads: “3”-zi[...?] (“PANIS”)t[u-...] “PITHOS”(-)x-ti-na SUPER-i i-ha (VIA.PUGNUS)pu-si, approx. /tarrinzi=… turpinzi? ...-tin sarri ahha pusi/, possibly translating as ‘You shall lift back(?) up three breads (and) …’ (cf. Hawkins 2000a:266).

1.1.5Stem

The word appears to be a common gender, but there is little else that can be said about the stem except that it contains a dental.
