The segment wλi- is interpreted as the root and stem of the verb, while fa- und ši- are preverbs.

1.1.3Meaning
The context in which the word fašiwλidν is found is obscure and fragmentary. No meaning has been offered; cf. Gusmani 1964a:121. The short preserved sentence permits the conclusion that it is an action performed in various places:
kud=ãk fašiwλidν
‘Wherever I fašiwλi-ed, …’
From an etymological perspective, Sasseville 2021a:163f. suggests an equation with CLuw. walli-(ti) ‘to raise, lift’, which is phonologically and morphologically adequate. If this is correct, the root vowel of Lyd. wλ- would have been syncopated. Although the comparison is in principle fine, the semantics obtained cannot be proven on contextual grounds. Therefore, it must remain tentative until further evidence surfaces.
