Abandoning his earlier analysis in Hajnal 1997b:154–156, Hajnal & Zipser 2017a:276 cautiously proposed to analyse mδane in E.Sa 1, E.xx 7 and C.xx 2 as a particle chain followed by °ane, a 3rd sg. pret. verb in the meaning ‘herstellen’, a cognate of Luwian ānni(ya)- ‘to carry out’ (see s.v.) and Hittite aniye/a- ‘to work, carry out’. Although this is semantically possible (even if not the most plausible one, since we are dealing with votive inscriptions), it is syntactically highly problematic, since it does not explain why the verb was attached to a particle chain and why this allegedly sentence initial chain stands in the sentence final position in C.xx 2, setting aside that the identification of m=δ= as particles has no base (see s.vv.). For further discussion see s.v. im(n)-.
