1.1.4Meaning
The word kengali- resembles Hitt. kingali- (ki-in-ga-li12 at KUB 42.26, 8’; cf. also KBo 39.273, unless it is URUIkingal-), which is translated by Tischler 2008a:87 and Ünal 2007a:344 as ‘spatula (?)’ (see also Košak 1982a:53). The Palaic word is likely to have the same meaning, although the fragmentary context hinders any verification. One should also compare Pal. kigga-.
