1.1.4Meaning

Sasseville 2021b:178 assigns it to the root wazz- ‘to wish, request’ attested as wazzaimma/i- in Cuneiform Luwian and wa/-zi- in Hieroglyphic Luwian (see /wazz(a)i-(di)/), although the attestations of the latter could belong to either the stem in -i-(ti) or in -(a)i-(di). Despite the cogent etymological connection, the fragmentary state of the context hinders any verification of the hypothesis.
