m͂qreime/i-
‘(unknown)’1.1.1Transmission
This lexeme is attested in the inscription of the inscribed pillar of Xanthos, dated contextually to shortly after the ascension of Artaxerxes II in 405-404 BCE and stylistically to around 400 BCE (Borchhardt & Eichner 1997-1999a:19f.).

1.1.3Graphic Features
Whereas m͂qr- is written at the end of line 42, -eime is written at the beginning of 43, though with a large lacuna between the broken edge and the first letter (cf. Kalinka 1901a:41, Schürr 2018b:60), apparently intentional (see Schürr 2018b:60f.). However, Schürr 2016d:154 presumes that letters are missing, yielding m͂qr[(…)]eime (see Schürr 2005a:155 “m͂qr[ẽ?]”). However, no traces of a letter can be discerned before the letter e in -eime, which speaks in favor of the first scenario.

1.1.4Meaning
As per DLL:122 (followed by Sasseville 2021a:68), m͂qreime is directly derived from m͂qre- n. ‘?’ and thus a meaning such as ‘having/decorated with m͂qre’ can be morphematically assigned. It probably agrees with tralije ‘of (the town) Tralles’ and kñtre ‘?’, assuming discontinuous syntax. Nonetheless, no meaning can be assigned as long as the semantics of the base m͂qre- have not been elucidated.

1.1.5Stem
The word m͂qreime/i- could belong to a denominative verb *m͂qr(e)i-(di) or be a possessive adjective in -a/eime/i- derived directly from m͂qre-.
