1.1.3.1Phonological Interpretation:
As pointed out in Melchert 1994a:272, a sporadic epenthesis of /t/ is observed in /rs/ sequences. The variation seen in the present lemma is a case in point.

1.1.4Meaning
No meaning has been assigned so far (DLL:32, CLL:33, HHw:s.v.). The clause a=aš=tar arzazīdu permits two syntactic analyses: first, an intransitive verb with a singular subject pronoun =aš; second, a transitive verb with a plural object pronoun =aš. A connection with the root verb Luw. ārš-(ti) or nouns with initial arz- is of course not excluded, but the context provides no further support for such an assumption.

1.1.5Stem
The combination of stem final -ī- and the lenited ending leaves two options for the classification of the inflectional class: arzaz(a)i-(di) or arzazi(ya)-(di), although the latter would be unexpected for a denominative verb.
