The verb is rightly interpreted as a verbal form (thus Shevoroshkin 1988b:298, Hajnal 1995a:166f. n. 201, DLL:22, Neumann 2007a:90).

1.1.3Meaning
The root hãxx- has been connected to Hitt. šanḫ-(mi) ‘to sweep, search’ by Shevoroshkin 1988b:298 and Hajnal 1995a:166f. Though phonologically tempting, their suggested semantics are very difficult to verify due to the obscure context. Hajnal (ibid.) translates Lyc. A hãxxa-(ti) with ‘to plan, intend’, which is not verifiable, either.
