1.1.2Forms
| unclear | ša-aḫ-la-ša-al-lu-uš(-) | KBo 32.3 i? 3’ | (CTH 773, NS) |
Cf. CHD Š:10. Melchert (pers. comm.) posits a nominative singular of a u-stem, which he finds morphologically surprising. Alternatively, he opens the possibility of seeing a Hitt. acc. pl. referring to the singing chiefs. A u-substantivization of an adjective in -alla/i- is in principle possible, but so far unparalleled.

1.1.3Graphic Features
Checked against the photographs in the Konkordanz (Mainzer Fotoarchiv). It is worth noting that there is barely any space left between the sign uš and the following sign ḫi or i[m.
[D.S.]
1.1.4Meaning
Because on the fragmentary context, no meaning has been suggested. The sequence *šaḫla- recalls the one in Pal. (and Hitt.) māḫla-nt-.
